Installation was a bear. I replaced two existing thermostats and both had weather that cause the installation instructions to pronounce ‘If you see this contact Honeywell RTH8500D Programmable Thermostat a contactor’.I ignored that and provided Honeywell with exemplar numbers and wiring diagrams of the identical different existing thermostats. They had some questions simply came back with customized instructions. I did one on the telephone and one with email. The phone in tech stayed on the phone until the wiring was done then ran me thru a series of test. No I didn’t do it in 15 moments or eve conclusion the same day merely for $200. I get two top of the job programable thermostats. My pet HVAC contractor wanted over $600 to placed in two progamable thermostats without even offering me an chance to brushup features and take the one I wanted.These are unbeleavably tardily to programme and to build temporary changes without changing any of the programming. In a few instants I could hold or accelerate the next alter and select a time to return to the schedule. I havn’t sought Vacation hold simply I believe it will exist as easy. I’m glad I didn’t save the special $ on the one with less features.
